Many PC gamers have been envious of Playstation players due to how brilliant Spider-Man was when it launched in 2018, exclusively on the Sony console. The movements and action were so intense and more realistic than in previous Spidey games. According to the latest PS State of Play event, both Insomniac’s Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales are finally swinging over as a port to PC.

This news is incredible for Marvel and Spider-Man fans that have been waiting for the webbed Avenger to finally come to Windows. While you’ll be able to swing around New York City with your keyboard and mouse, I suspect using an Xbox controller will be more comfortable. Either way, you’ll be able to take on the Sinister Six or play as Miles Morales as the next masked spider hero.

Of course, those of are who don’t want to fork out too much cash for these titles have another question in mind. Will we see both Spider-Man games appear for free on Xbox Games Pass? There’s mention of render settings you can adjust, so we suspect you can optimize the game with NVIDIA Ge-Force.  Also, will it be one package with both games, or sold separately? So many questions, so much excitement…

We’re not surprised at the decision to port Spider-Man from PlayStation to PC. While Spidey is exclusive to Sony, the brand is doing so well now after the latest movie, No Way Home. They’ll do everything they can to cash in on the franchise as much as possible. Also, with Microsoft acquiring Activision Blizzard, maybe Sony hopes the tech giant will return the favor and place future Activision titles on the PS consoles.

As far as other ports go, there have been some leaks on Sumo Digital’s Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Housemarque’s Returnal possibly also coming to PC. We were all so worried that all these massive game company acquisitions would result in console or computer exclusives, but it seems the opposite is happening.

Speaking of Activision, be sure to check out the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 trailer for the world premiere on June 8, 2022.
